Progressive Knockout tournaments

Progressive Knockout tournaments are a more exciting version of regular Knockout tournaments, giving you the chance to earn big time bounties for knocking out the right players.

In these tournaments, a percentage of every knockout bounty (usually 50%) goes to increasing the bounty of the player who caused the knockout. For example, if a player has a $10 bounty on him and the increasing percentage for the tournament is 50%, then the player who knocks them out would win $5, and their own bounty would increase by $5. This means as the tournament goes on the bounties on certain players can grow to some pretty nice amounts.

Most Progressive Knockout tournaments work as follows:

  • 50% of the buy-in goes to the prize pool.
  • 50% of the buy-in funds each player's initial bounty.
  • Anytime you eliminate a player, you pocket half of their bounty value, with the other half added to your own bounty value.

In Progressive Total Knockout tournaments, 100% of the buy-in funds each player's initial bounty, and there is no prize awarded at the end of the event. In other words, in Total KO tournaments, you need to eliminate other players to win their bounty as well as increase your own bounty.

You can find Progressive Knockout tournaments under the Tourney tab in the main lobby - they are marked with a red 'target' symbol. Alternatively, type 'progressive' into the 'Find a tournament...' search field to quickly find what you are looking for.
