Time bank in tournaments and cash games

You receive a time bank whenever you sit down at a cash game table and at the start of every tournament.

For tournaments, the amount of time allocated varies according to tournament type. It will range from 90 seconds for a standard multi-table event to 10 seconds for a Hyper Turbo Sit & Go. You can find the specific time bank for each event by opening the tournament lobby and clicking on the Structure tab. The time bank available will be displayed under the Tournament Information section.

For cash games, the time bank on each table will be 15 seconds pre-flop and 15 seconds post-flop. This will increase by 5 seconds for every 10 hands into which you are dealt at that table. The pre-flop and post-flop time banks are independent of each other.

Depending on the type of game, you will have an allotted time period to make your decision:

  • Cash games: 10 seconds
  • Regular tournaments: 18 seconds
  • Turbo tournaments: 14 seconds
  • Hyper Turbo tournaments: 12 seconds

Whenever this normal allotted time to act is about to finish, the TIME bank button will appear and you can opt to activate this additional time window:

  • If you have money invested in the pot (including antes and blinds) and do not act in the time allotted, the time bank gets started automatically.
  • If you do not have any money invested in the pot and do not act in the time allotted, your hand is automatically folded and you are forced to sit out.

The time bank is in place to give you additional time to make difficult decisions. It does not protect against disconnections.
